A quick tale 26

Advice

“Place a brinjal under each armpit and pull out three strands of hair from your head. After some months, you’ll have a baby.”
Many years later she would remember her cousin's sagely answer to her question on procreation. How she wished things were as simple now.

  4. haha... surely that cant be true? Brinjals?? But on reflection I guess they're better than onions. Oniony armpits cant possibly be conducive to procreative activities, hahahaha! :) Love this one, Ammani :)

  5. Great one Ammani!. Onions they say under the armpit brings fever.
How about drumsticks ??? Bhayaraj style?

Very funny and yet brings out our superstitious believes in such matters.

  12. Aha the old family tales. Its kinda funny trying to figure out the rationale behind all this stuff. The concept of aphrodisiacs is still unknown territory for science and is yet unproved. But the old ladies have their recommendations nevertheless.

  19. Most of your protagonists are mostly females in distress...this is no exception. But i don't know why this reminds of a very recurrent theme in the Indian society...infertility!
