I'm sorry I haven't a bloody clue 2

I do not know how to correctly use the phrase 'benefit of doubt' (or is it 'the benefit...' or 'benefit of the...'?).

I also don't know what paradigm means. But I use it anyway.

  1. Neither do I and I play it safe by using the benefit of the doubt :D

  2. Bother. I DO know this one. You give someone "the benefit of the doubt". Saying "benefit of doubt" is false economy! :)

Re paradigm - lovely word, dont care what it means!

  3. Austere:

"give someone the benefit of the doubt" - to believe something good about someone, rather than something bad, when you have the possibility of doing either. After hearing his explanation, I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

  4. Ms.Ammani enabled a paradigm shift in mama-blogging by opening her "cult of bad mama" blog in 2007.

  5. I just gave myself the benefit of the doubt in framing a sentence with the word "paradigm"

  7. It's " the benefit of the doubt" as in " give somebody the benefit of the doubt" that is accept what someone tells you even if you're not sure he's right or telling the truth.

By starting this note "I haven't a bloody clue 2..." you've created a paradigm shift in our approach at our ignorance...
Thus, Paradigm Shift is a change from one way of thinking to another. It's a revolution, a transformation, a sort of metamorphosis...;-)
