A quick tale 33

Real

This is a story about a girl who wrote stories. Her tales were full of quirky people who lead dramatic lives. Those who read them had wonderful things to say about her words. Then one day she wrote about herself. And no one had much to say. Her life was not that interesting anyway.

Talk about irony :) But I beg to differ... anybody whose writing appeals to others is automatically interesting to them, "uninteresting" personal life notwithstanding!

Not many comments on this one.

Complements the tale.

Brutal.
But that said, every one of the QTs with a really good response explores some vignette or experience in your life or someone close to you. Its that insight that makes the QTs what they are. Everyone here (atleast a few I know) thinks and believes in your words. Such is the power of words.
I dont know if you realise this but you are doing something far beyond what many other(mine included) blogs do. You make people think. Your life has a sense of purpose and I dont think you can have anything more powerful that that.
Sometimes I feel when I post about something. When the responses are far and few, it makes me think about what my blog achieves and what I want it to achieve. There is a difference and its hard at times and well, practical, the others.
Keep writing.

I don't agree with this. If what she writes captures the interest of people, then generally, they strive to know more about the author. They might then disapprove of her actions & life, but that might not stop them from learning more about her.

...is there ever a point where we stop asking for more? but then, some people say discontent is the one thing that keeps the spark of creativity alive...

Pattukkottai Prabhakar, wouldnt have touched a pistol, nor would he have visited courts and polic-station. His life would have been Crime free, unlike his novels.

Your case, Ammani, you dont imagine and write.. do you. I think you write from around.

Quotidian lives aren't interesting, but, when presented well, take a different hue. If any of the tales this girl wrote was a copy of the little bits of lives she captured, then they too would have been uninteresting. :-)
Maybe she didn't want to present herself as a tale, for silence can at times can be the greatest adulation to something touching and moving...
There is beauty in silence... :-)
